2 Chronicles 9 / Ezekiel 44 / John 11

How happy your men must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! Praise be to the LORD your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on his throne as king to rule for the LORD your God.

How happy indeed to know that the king you serve had a supernatural wisdom put into him by God to be able to judge and rule correctly. The foreign queen is talking to Solomon as though he may be some kind of god, and we can assume that what he was given by God was an extraordinary thing to behold. Because of the degenerating condition of his heart though, which was in the process of slowly turning away from the God of his father David as he indulged more deeply in the things the animal loves, it seems that he may have been inclined to have accepted her praise as a kind of god that wants/needs/craves to be worshipped by being special, honored, dignified and set apart from the common. However, that was being achieved not by the wisdom given him by God, but by the pomp and glory of man that Solomon learned to love more than the God of his father David, who was set apart from the common by God, who honored David's heart because it honored God in a pure and honest way, as someone who wanted to be devoted to Him.

The priests, who are Levites and descendants of Zadok and who faithfully carried out the duties of my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, are to come near to minister before me...They are to teach my people the difference between the holy and the common and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.

The issue of clean versus unclean is not just some antiquated aside that has no relevance in the modern world, as the humans generally regard it. It is the core of what's relevant to the sons of God versus everyone else, because its real meaning lies not in the particular details of tabernacle or temple worship, but the very condition of the humans before God and why He hides from them. That is the reason He introduces it in the desert through His servant Moses, just after He had established the intention of making His chosen people free and delivering them to a place where they could be just that. But He didn't want them just turning into animal who did whatever instinctually welled up within them to do. The covenant He made with them was fair because it basically said that if they were loyal and faithful to Him, He would be loyal and faithful to them; but if not, then not too. The clean versus unclean issue is at the heart of the son's journey, because he must learn to distinguish between the two, according to the Father's perspective, which is basically what everything written on these pages is all about.

King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth. All the kings of the earth sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.

The weight of the gold that Solomon received yearly was 666 talents...

The story of how Solomon's heart became ruled by the wild animal, so far from how his father's heart had been turned toward God, is a very sadly banal kind of a description of a man diving into the excesses of human indulgence in the things they naturally love and run after, the foundation of which has remained steady since before Solomon's time, throughout the history of man and up through now. They love and run after that which satisfies and appeases what naturally lives in them to drive them to be what and how they are, and they are very predictable as such.

This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

The humans have made lots of money for themselves from their satanic associations with this number, and many who claim to know the way to God have gotten their panties all in a twister about its relevance to something outside of them (where they assume the devil exists). However, the 666 connection isn't satanic movie scary, but just as it's labelled: it is the number of man (the humans generally) who buys and sells, participating in commercial activities as though that were the only avenue whereby one bases his reason for existing. Money is a dangling carrot that always works, which says something very real and important about them and the nature of fear and hiding that lives in them, generally and ubiquitously. Money matters to the humans because it satisfies cravings that live deep inside of them, and so easily appeases the wild animal fear to be able to survive a little better and longer.

No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.

Money itself isn't evil, it's just a thing that has the potential to have power. Serving it by allowing it to make one feel safe or unsafe is just the way the animal, which has no choice because it's driven by instinct, must work. Money is an inanimate thing which has the capacity to have a great deal of power as though it were alive, which says something about the humans (that power is overwhelming because it does something for them), the stock of which the sons come from (why it must concern them on their journey to the Father).

You cannot serve both God and Money.

Money merely stands as something tangible which can satisfy the animal tendencies and define the particular human who runs after it as an animal, alongside running after indulging the tendency to want to hide because of fear, and the appetites and cravings that instinctually well up that need to be sated. They all add up to something which has a force of potential, as though it were alive; and in a way that which drives the animals is alive. That is why this thing called the devil is oftentimes referred to as though it actually were a person or being with its own personality and will apart from what the Father wants to accomplish by its presence.

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

The sons are called to serve a Father who is alive. Alongside the choice to serve the Father, there must exist another choice to serve something that is difficult to deny in order for the son's choice toward the Father to be genuine. That is the adversary, satan, the devil, the deceiver, the serpent, etc. It is the wild animal nature that rules the humans without fail or seam, the thing that has ruled the sons too, before they were called and its existence was revealed to them. It is the son himself and the very thing he became, and the instincts that rule him which helped keep him alive in a world where everyone is driven by the very same thing, to one capacity or another.

Before the sons are called to have the reality of His choice revealed to them, it is as though they weren't alive to Him. They were dead because they existed only as animals who aren't aware of anything real according to the living God, until that revelation comes. He is the One who can make them feel truly safe because He has truly revealed Himself to them so they are aware that He actually does exist—not as a theoretical concept that may or might be true because it seems to have been written about in a book that the experts say contains a kind of magical way to get what the animal wants most. That is, the eternal version of the game of survival they've been playing all their life as the animal they are, driven by instinct to get what feeds their survival needs (going to heaven, being in the kingdom, in paradise, etc).

I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them. I the LORD have spoken. I will make a covenant of peace with them and rid the land of wild beasts so that they may live in the desert and sleep in the forests in safety. I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill.

The heart of Solomon is like that of Judas' in many ways—one who loved money, his own cause and who just couldn't say no to the animal. It is a stark contrast to that of his father David, the prince whom God loved, who was an imperfect copy of the perfect Son for whom the Father had to patiently wait. The wild animal nature is the perfect illustration of the heart that is opposite to the obedient son's. The good sons are obedient to their Father; the wild animals can't because they're unable to come close to God to be able to know what He requires.

This is the law of the temple: All the surrounding area on top of the mountain will be most holy. Such is the law of the temple.

The humans aren't consecrated, holy, set apart because they are led by the wild animal nature instead of the spirit of the living God, which is the power and condition it takes to become that which can be transformed. They do whatever they want, whatever is in their heart to lead them to run after to satisfy all those cravings, urges, and instinctual things—what naturally lives in their heart to define them as wild animals. The sons of God will have to learn another way, which was kept perfectly hidden from them before, about which the "experts" are totally unawares because they've only studied stagnant words. However, the way of God is alive, and has to be in order to be effective in the sons' heart, so that it can do the impossible—make their hearts clean and turn them from wild animal to son of God.

"Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them.  "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.'

For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man `unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him `unclean.' "

According to Jesus, the instincts that make men evil are naturally living in the humans. It is a condition that springs from Genesis 3, so that everyone is covered by the condition, that of being bound to the wild animal. Jesus was the only one who was kept from that condition, by a combination of the Father's power and teaching which was followed by Jesus' own choice of obedience to the covenant between the Father and himself, which lived in his heart.

Enough of your detestable practices, O house of Israel! In addition to all your other detestable practices, you brought foreigners uncircumcised in heart and flesh into my sanctuary, desecrating my temple while you offered me food, fat and blood, and you broke my covenant.

Instead of carrying out your duty in regard to my holy things, you put others in charge of my sanctuary. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary, not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites.

The wild animal nature in us will tell us and try to convince us that it isn't that big a deal, that we can violate the covenant and God will just keep taking us back because He loves us so much and has already chosen us, so we have the privilege as sons to do whatever we want and we will continue to be forgiven and restored. In the beginning that may be the case to a certain extent, because we know a lot less, but as we are given more understanding, more is required e.g., the Levites were expected to be shepherds of those who didn't know as much, so they are held more responsible when they allow themselves to be led by the wild animal nature to satisfy the cravings within them.

The Levites who went far from me when Israel went astray and who wandered from me after their idols must bear the consequences of their sin. They are not to come near to serve me as priests or come near any of my holy things or my most holy offerings; they must bear the shame of their detestable practices.

But the priests, who are Levites and descendants of Zadok and who faithfully carried out the duties of my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, are to come near to minister before me; they are to stand before me to offer sacrifices of fat and blood, declares the Sovereign LORD. They alone are to enter my sanctuary; they alone are to come near my table to minister before me and perform my service.

The punishment was that they couldn't come near to God to serve Him. The good thing that the faithful descendants of Zadok received was that they were able to come near to God to minister. To be pleasing to God and useful to Him is the highest one of the humans can ever hope to attain to in this life. To the humans by and large, it seems to be not much of anything valuable to them at all.

I am to be the only inheritance the priests have. You are to give them no possession in Israel; I will be their possession.

What the humans actually love isn't what they say they love with their mouths, but what they run after—satisfying the cravings for appetite, honor & respect, and wealth—which is what the life of Solomon signifies, just being a human, loving what the humans love, being a common animal defined by the instincts that lead them.

They are to teach my people the difference between the holy and the common and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.

This is what Jesus did for those he was sent to save. He spoke the word of the living Father, which led him instead of the wild animal nature, to the unclean animals. That word was the intention of the Father to make them legitimate sons, as Jesus was, and made them clean when they were unclean.

You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

The word was the intention of God to make them sons, and it was also the command to love and take care of each other, since that was the only thing they needed to worry about. All the cares and anxieties that the humans occupy themselves with constantly didn't need to affect them, because they had already been chosen to become sons, which was something they had to believe because they were given the opportunity to see that Jesus was the Son of God, and had the authority of God living in him, so they could believe what he told them.

I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

But it wasn't some easy kind of thing to believe, because it didn't go according to what they naturally wanted or expected, the same for all the humans who assumed they knew the way to God, who actually killed the One the presumably were waiting centuries for because he didn't look like they expected him to look.

The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.

Jesus said this not to the whole world, but to the few men who had been chosen to believe in him, to be saved by him, to become sons. It was hard to believe that Jesus was the one he claimed to be, and that they were specially chosen to become sons. It was hard because it was work, and work is hard. It was effectively going against what was naturally in them, and they had to usurp their own selves in order to do it.

Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days.

Lazarus is dead, and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe.

Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?

Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.

It was easier to believe him as long as Jesus was doing miracles and he aligned with the desires of their animal nature, that he was going to press on and use those powers, obviously from God, to accomplish their will, not accidentally what he was already tempted to do himself in the temptation account. That is, to be the Messiah that the humans expected, using that supernatural power to make Israel great and rule the world, which was the misinterpretation going all the way back to David and what Nathan told him about the Son who would be born a thousand years later.

Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.

However, Joseph wasn't Jesus' father, and had nothing to do with his conception. He was chosen to be a guardian of the child, humanly speaking.

"Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham...

A human ancestor of David, after his heart which was pointed perfectly toward the Father, even when David was imperfect because he was merely an animal who couldn't save himself or come near to God.

Yet the LORD set his affection on your forefathers and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations, as it is today.

God chose a certain people to be special to Him, to be recognizable by the cutting off of their physical flesh, to become and remain loyal and faithful to Him, and set apart from the rest of the humans, for His special purpose, to be His people, and so that He could be their God. It was a very exclusive relationship which was purposed by God, but it was imperfect because those individuals who made up the people of God were naturally defined by the instincts that were in them, and were unable to ever please God because those instincts were too strong and led their hearts astray to be faithful to His adversary, and unfaithful to Him Just like the first humans trusted the animal instead of the Father, and therefore became bound to it by the same nature in both which defined them as what they were at their core, what humans have always been.

Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer. For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing.

Even in the original commands, there is something not natural embedded there. The circumcision of the heart is abstract, yet is obviously based on and follows the thing that isn't abstract—the cutting off of the foreskin, for the purpose that they claimed by it they belonged to the group which was specifically chosen by God to be His people.

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

The OT people of God, specifically chosen by Him to be circumcised, is only a copy of the better thing, that which was in the world for a short time and then went away, according to Daniel's prophesy of the abomination that would cause the desolation of that condition which did exist in the first century and then slowly faded away; not because God wasn't able to continue it if He chose to, but He chose not to. That's why He made it known some 600 years earlier, even in the Babylonian exile it was predicted, and is termed in Revelation "Mystery Babylon, the great whore and mother of all the prostitutes" (all the christian religions who came out from her).

The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.

This didn't happen with the natural Israelites, who time and again continued to follow the adversary instead of God. It's speaking about another time when those instincts that are naturally in the humans to lead them away from God are taken out of them, a time when God will actually be able to come near to His people, His sons, His family, and enjoy them because they're clean, washed pure of everything that contaminates them.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

It has to be another time, when we are freed from this obviously ubiquitous nature that is in us, what keeps defining us as unclean animals. The intention of God will be made known to those He is actually choosing, and that desire to remember them will make them clean. As they understand more about that intention, and who they are, there is an increasing responsibility to remain true to the covenant that's being put into their heart so that they can come near to God, even if it's not in this earthly existence, but when they're finally redeemed from the earth which keeps them spoiled. However, while they're in these tents, and know about the covenant, because it lives in them, they are responsible to be faithful to it, and the One who is putting it there.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

This is a warning about the Jews, and also about what was coming, when the humans took the kingdom of God over and made it an earthly religion, pretty much what looked like the Jewish religion in that it was ruled by humans instead of the newly created Jesus/God being who lived in the hearts of the first century believers. That which was created in the second, third and fourth centuries is also the mother of all the religions who claim to also know the exclusive way to God, yet all believe basically the same things, totally different than what the first century believers had.

Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

The humans have proven very clearly that they aren't able to be pleasing to God, but only serve to take what's good and turn it into something bad, something they can understand and therefore control, so they think.

Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
