2 Samuel 16 / Jeremiah 20 / Romans 5-6

Sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.

...for when you eat of it you will surely die.

"You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.

By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food
until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken;
for dust you are and to dust you will return.

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned (totally ruled the humans) through that one man, how much more will those (the sons of God who are particularly chosen by Him) who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

The spirit gives life; the flesh (natural) counts for nothing.
The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

The Son could say this because he knew it first hand. Without the spirit, God's unseen life inhabiting his human body, he would have been just another ordinary animal coming from below—of the dust and dirt, one with the natural creation like every animal, from the earth which would have gobbled him up to become fully one with it upon his body's expiration (decomposed matter pooped back into the earth by worms). What gave the Son life was the life of the Father—the only living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—living in his body. That is what is referred to throughout the preserved words as the spirit, or holy spirit. The spirit is the unseen (because it exists of matter that is unknown to the humans) mechanism by which God interacts with the humans who are of a different origin and nature than He is (from below, of the earth, the dust and dirt—natural, observable, of flesh and blood).

Hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the holy spirit, whom he has given us.

What gave the Son life was not his being a god, which is the heresy that all of christianity is built upon, an across-the-board lie made up by the humans. That has been the condition of the world of the humans regarding being able to comprehend the real Jesus—not been able to be known because he is with the Father being enjoyed by Him without having to deal with the humans who are always a trouble making pain—since the whore of babylon (human institution as strong as a nation who is the bride of her made up christ) was firmly established in the world of the humans. The spirit (how God interacts with humans) was also made into yet another god by the humans, further calcifying the condition of the truth's absence from the world of humans. The spirit was active in the OT times when God wanted to accomplish a thing with or in those He wanted to be close to (sons), but couldn't because they were flesh and He is spirit.

Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

When the spirit of God is put in a human it is no small deal, contrary to the christian lie about it living in anyone and everyone that ever had half a whim to make their made up jesus their own personal savior like they would buy a house or get a new job—just another thing they do as an animal running around trying to survive and secure things for itself—ultimately securing themselves a place in their made up heaven, the ultimate survival in their never ending game. When God puts His own spirit (a part of Himself) in a human it means that He has chosen that one to be a genuine (and hidden, as He is) offspring of His; to have His own DNA which makes him an actual son of the living God. They are rare creatures, a tiny fraction of the population of the humans who ever lived and died on the earth. They are particularly chosen by the Father, which makes them highly valued.

Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

The process of them being transformed isn't as the liars claim, one that can be observed and witnessed. Theirs is because it is presumed and false, because they worship a set of made up gods who are for them whatever they need them to be. The humans are all important beings to themselves, so it only makes sense that their gods would have the same opinion of them as they themselves hold. The process of transformation that takes one of the ordinary human animals and turns him into a son of God originates from and is maintained in another world and reality (the unobservable, uncontrollable dimension where God's will is always done). His will is His intention to make sons from dead human animals and have a family, slowly gathering them up from the world of the animals one son at a time. First He reveals Himself and the reality of His existence (apart from any and all of the lies the human has ever heard about Him) to the human, then the human has to make a choice whether he wants to become a son or not.

If anyone comes to me and does not hate even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.
Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.

It isn't just so easy like that though, because there is a high price that comes with the decision to become a son of God. It isn't an easy thing to embrace, because the human at that point must slowly learn to become and embrace what is distasteful to him and the humans around him. So it's an enduring choice that means prolonged suffering and heartache, not instantaneous, celebratory bliss. He must start out on another journey, totally different than the one he has been on all his natural animal life, unlearning all the ways which before he learned to integrate into himself as his reality, what he learned to be satisfied with and to love because it became him. Giving it up is more than a difficult thing to do because it isn't as the liars say, who claim that they can live like ordinary animals, just like all the other humans, and all that matters is if they've done their little jesus gyration, said with their mouth babble that they have accepted him as their own personal savior, which gives them a lock on their cheap-as-nails salvation.

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.

The sons of God are not the dime-a-dozen sort as portrayed by the liars who claim that their gods want to cram as many of them as possible into their made up heaven, based on how their gods are fair and democratic (they follow the dictates of popular human culture) so they love all the humans the same and have no preference. They (jesus god, holy spirit god & father god) are just up there in their made up heaven waiting for yet another of them to decide to "give his life to christ" and embrace the mythology of the ages (many gods in the style of Roman & Greek polytheism, the cultural bed that birthed all forms of ancient and modern christianity). The alternative is to be one of the bad people going to hell (those not like them, who don't agree with them by embracing their lie, therefore a huge threat to their lie), ruled by the evil god (the devil, who as folklore goes, was once an angel, but now fallen, fights with his army of demons against the good gods and the good people—the christians).

We rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

The true sons of God will suffer insult and reproach, not because they become babbling idiots who regurgitate the lies to one another as dispensed by their church's pastor, creating the agreement they need within themselves to believe the lie they're trying to embrace. The sons of God are put at odds by the manipulation that is done in the spiritual realm which affects their lives in the natural, an engineering of circumstances which is done so that their choice for the Father isn't an easy one (testing). There is a great suffering to be had by not participating in the things that used to make them happy, what they used to be able to count on to make them feel fulfilled and satisfied, the things which became for them their very lives. It isn't a generic process, because each one is in his own particular covenant with God so their individual lives can be visited by the God who is able to live in their heart, and must in order to effect their transformation away from the animal which wants to rule them (the actual devil, not an entity but a persistent force that lives in the humans via their instincts), toward the Father who must rule them in order for them to be His own sons.

At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions' den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?"
